This series of safari animals are inspired by safari drives in Africa, and made using charcoal, pastel and acrylic on paper. The following portraits are of people I met in the tiny village of Midawakope, Togo (west Africa), whilst we were living and working in a medical clinic there, and are collaged from Togolese newspapers I picked up in the capital of Lome.
