Aaron Moore (b.1978) studied painting and drawing at National Art School, Sydney, and completed a Masters in Fine Art at UNSW Art and Design (COFA), where he researched art and global inequality. He has exhibited in numerous group and solo shows, winning Highly Commended in the Mandorla, winning the Walter Bennett and Highly Commended in the St George Art Award, and been finalist in the Chippendale New World Art Prize, the Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize, the Sunshine Coast Art Prize, the Fisher Ghost and the Blake Prize.
Aaron also holds a Masters in Forced Migration (University of Oxford), Graduate Certificate in Social Development (UNSW), Bachelor of International Studies (UNE) and Diploma in Ministry and Theological Studies (Sydney Ministry Academy). Aaron has been employed in social work positions with the Salvation Army (Kings Cross), the Presbyterian Community Services (Sydney), Hassela Drug Rehabilitation Centre (Sweden), as a Combat Medic with the Australian Defence Force, an Immigration Solicitor for the Refugee Legal Centre (UK), and currently manages international aid and development programs as Overseas Projects Manager for Global Concern.
